Real Madrid are six points ahead in the standings – meaning a clear upper edge for Zinedine Zidane’s men who are furthermore fueled by the fact they are still undefeated in LaLiga this season, and that run extends to the February of the last season (25 LaLiga games since the last defeat).

However, Barcelona fans will remember their majestic streak of 39 consecutive competitive matches without defeat before the last El Clasico and a manner it all crashed down at Camp Nou – meaning and hoping something similar could happen to their rivals this time.

Team news – Barcelona
Two players are doubtful for Barcelona – while Mathieu is certainly out, Iniesta and Jordi Alba are the ones who are monitored carefully – although both are doubtful for the event, sheer need could force Luis Enrique to use them. Andres Iniesta is reportedly ready to play part of the match, so it remains to be seen whether he starts or comes on later.
Pique and Mascherano should lead the defensive line for the hosts, while MSN trio are expected to be in attack.
Team news – Real Madrid real
Gareth Bale is the major absence in Madrid’s squad, together with Toni Kroos. Those two should be replaced by Lucas Vazquez and Mateo Kovacic respectively, while the third place in midfield (alongside Luka Modric) will probably belong to Casemiro who looks to be healthy enough to start.
Pepe should accompany Ramos in centre-back spots with Carvajal and Marcelo marching down the full-backs.
