Remember the Afghan boy who made a jersey from a polythene bag with Lionel Messi‘s name on it? Things have escalated nicely for him as he has finally met with the Barcelona superstar.
Murtaza Ahmadi went viral in February after a picture of him dressed in a polythene Argentina jersey surfaced on social media.
Back then, Messi was gracious enough to send the boy an autographed jersey, a gesture which would have left the boy very excited.
But with Barcelona involved in a friendly match in Doha, Qatar, it served as an opportunity for the boy, now six years old, to see his idol now that the distance between them wasn’t so great.
And you can tell from the clip below just how much it means to the boy, who was too happy to stay on the pitch rather than leave.
